Opportunities from University of Canterbury — International First-Year Scholarships

The official UC international first-year page states that the Semester 1 2027 round opened on 5 September 2026 and closes on 31 October 2026. The scholarship is for first-year undergraduate study, and the current regulations state a value of NZ$15,000 and up to seven awards annually.

Applicants must be full-fee-paying international students and cannot be New Zealand or Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or holders of New Zealand residence-class visas. They must be completing or have recently completed an eligible university-entrance qualification overseas or through UC International College, must apply for admission to UC by the scholarship closing date, and must not already have undertaken partial undergraduate degree study at a New Zealand tertiary institution.
