Opportunities from UWA Higher Degree by Research Application Portal

The project aims to develop tunable silicon-germanium-carbon thin-film technology for terahertz spectroscopic imaging, target recognition, chemical-composition sensing and future high-bandwidth communications. UWA lists the opportunity as open from 1 February to 31 October 2026, while noting that it can close early once suitable candidates are identified.

Applicants must meet UWA research-degree admission requirements. The project page states a preferred background in Physics, Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field. Both domestic and international applicants are eligible; the page also identifies separate RTP scholarship-round dates for each group.
