Opportunities in Solomon Islands

The 2026-2027 SIG scholarship programme offers fully funded and Tuition-Only scholarship categories. In-service pathways include Public Sector, Private Sector, Teaching Service and Open/Closed categories. Open in-service awards are intended for high-achieving professionals pursuing postgraduate qualifications, particularly Master's or PhD programmes in approved national-priority study areas.

Solomon Islands citizens who meet the applicable in-service category requirements. Public-sector applicants need the required ministerial training/workforce endorsement; private-sector applicants need supervisor endorsement; teachers need education-provider endorsement. The official information sheet states a maximum age of 50 for Master's applicants and no age limit for PhD applicants in the listed in-service categories.
