For more than three decades, American Councils has connected the people of Tajikistan with educational, professional, and cultural opportunities in the United States and around the world.

From English language classrooms and university campuses to professional networks and community initiatives, our programs support people who are learning, leading, teaching, and creating change. Across Tajikistan, thousands of alumni of U.S. government-funded and sponsored programs are now contributing to their communities as educators, entrepreneurs, professionals, researchers, and leaders.

When a Tajik professional brings an international perspective to their work, an English teacher uses innovative teaching methods, a student takes on a new leadership opportunity, or a scholar builds connections between Tajikistan and the United States, there is a good chance American Councils has played a part in their journey.

📢 Flex Global 2027–2028 Applications Are Now Open!🌍

Great news for students in Tajikistan! The FLEX Global 2027–2028 online application is officially open!

FLEX Global is a fully funded, merit-based exchange program of the U.S. Department of State that gives selected students the opportunity to spend an academic year in the United States, live with a U.S. host family, attend an American high school, experience U.S. culture, and develop leadership skills through activities focused on business, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Who can apply from Tajikistan? Applicants must:

✅ Be currently enrolled in and attending Grade 11 in Tajikistan at the time of application;

✅ Be born between March 15, 2009 and December 31, 2010;

✅ Be in good academic standing;

✅ Have previously studied English and demonstrate English-language ability at the time of application;

✅ Meet U.S. visa eligibility requirements;

✅ Be a citizen of Tajikistan and be able to receive an international passport from Tajikistan.
