Overview
ANII's 2026 CABBIO scholarship call supports eligible students and invited lecturers in Uruguay attending short, practical biotechnology postgraduate courses in Uruguay or elsewhere in the regional CABBIO network.
Complete scholarship details
Courses typically last one to two weeks. ANII states a maximum subsidy of USD 1,000 per course for economy round-trip travel, medical insurance and local airport transfers. For courses abroad, local organizers cover accommodation, meals and necessary materials. Uruguay has up to two student places per course abroad and eight per course held in Uruguay. The official page warns that each course has its own closing date, so applicants must check the 2026 schedule and may face a deadline earlier than the umbrella closing date.
Eligibility requirements
Degree and postgraduate students, plus invited lecturers with an official invitation, may apply subject to the course-specific training or experience requirements in the 2026 CABBIO schedule.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the current official ANII page on 29 August 2026. Where ANII displays a clock time without an explicit timezone on the checked page, only the calendar date is normalized. The umbrella page lists 25 September 2026 at 14:00, but course-specific deadlines vary and may be earlier.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
