Full job description

Business Driver, 50–60% Who is Artefact? Artefact is a next-generation strategy and data consulting firm dedicated to transforming organisations through data and AI. We combine the rigour of top-tier strategy consulting with deep expertise in data, digital and analytics to help clients achieve tangible business impact. With 2,500+ consultants, data scientists and engineers, we work with global leaders such as Samsung, L’Oréal, Orange and Sanofi. Our Swiss team is growing fast and has just moved into a new office in central Zurich. The Role Our Zurich team has grown to a size where keeping the office and the team’s operations running is a job in its own right. With our new office, we now have the place for it, and we are looking for the person to take it on. As our Business Driver, you keep support for our leadership, recruiting, events and the office itself running smoothly, and you help with billing, so that our consultants, partners and directors can focus on their clients. Main Responsibilities

Area What you will do 01 Support for Partners and Directors Assist our partners and directors with calendars, travel, correspondence and the requests that come up between meetings. 02 Recruiting Coordination Schedule interviews between candidates and interviewers, keep the hiring calendar moving, and welcome candidates when they visit the office. 03 Staffing & Billing Support Help track who works on which project, and support the preparation of invoices. You will understand how our projects are set up well enough to know when and what needs to be invoiced. 04 Events Plan and run team and client events, from venue and catering to invitations and coordination on the day. 05 Office Management Keep the office working: supplies, fruit and drinks, post and deliveries, and contact with suppliers and building management. 06 Office Projects Take a short brief and deliver a finished result on your own, whether that means setting up a new meeting space or finding the right supplier. 07 Team & Culture Make the office a place people enjoy coming to. Notice birthdays, anniversaries and project wins, and turn them into something the team remembers, with a small budget at your disposal. This is not a sales, business development, proposal or reception role, and it does not include contract management. Candidate Profile The strongest candidates meet most of the following. Experience: Experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant, ideally supporting senior leaders in the Zurich area. You know how the job works: you take a quick handover and run with it, without needing detailed instructions. Education: A commercial apprenticeship (KV), a degree from a university of applied sciences, or comparable training. A university degree is not required. Anticipation & Ownership: You see what needs doing and handle it without being asked. When the situation is unclear and nobody is around to ask, you make a good decision on your own. Pace & Attitude: Quick, organised and hands-on. You take pride in getting the details right. Commercial Understanding: Comfortable with numbers and invoices. Experience with billing or project accounting is a plus. People: Warm and approachable with colleagues, candidates and clients alike. Discretion: You handle confidential information, such as candidate data, client details and financials, with care. Languages: Fluency in German and English, written and spoken, is required. Swiss German is a strong plus. Work Eligibility: You must be eligible to work in Switzerland. The Basics Office: Neumühlequai 6, Zurich Start: January 2027 Hours: 50–60%, worked as full days in the office rather than half days. We agree on the exact days with you. Why Join Us Build the Role: You are the first Business Driver in our Zurich office. You decide how the office runs, and your work is visible to everyone from the first day. This means significant growth opportunities. Close to Leadership: You work directly with our partners and directors and see first-hand how a consulting business is built. Culture of Doers: Innovation, action, collaboration. We are entrepreneurial and fast-moving, committed to delivering impact while supporting each other’s growth. Central Location: Our office is in the heart of Zurich, within walking distance of the main station (HB).
