Overview

The Czech Government is accepting 2027/28 scholarship applications from citizens of specified developing-country partners for selected full-time Master's and doctoral study at Czech public universities.

Complete scholarship details

The programme is part of Czech foreign development cooperation. Czech-language follow-up Master's routes for specified countries include a preparatory Czech-language year; selected English-language follow-up Master's and doctoral programmes are available under the call. Each applicant may register and submit only one government-scholarship application.

Eligibility requirements

Eligible citizenships listed for 2027/28 include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus (democratic forces), Ethiopia, Gabon, Mauritania, Zambia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Palestine, Guatemala and Honduras. Master's applicants need the relevant prior bachelor's qualification; doctoral applicants need a master's-level qualification. English-medium applicants complete an English test. Czech/EU citizens and permanent residents of the Czech Republic are not eligible under this scheme.

Tips for this scholarship

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  2. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  3. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  4. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Reverified on the official Czech Ministry of Education page. The 2027/28 application period is 21 August–30 September 2026, the eligible-country list is published, and the scholarships cover the standard length of full-time study at Czech public higher-education institutions. The source does not define a remote, hybrid or on-site work arrangement, so structured work-mode fields are intentionally left unknown.
