Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Finance - Sales Finance & Public Company Readiness based in United States. This is a senior finance leadership role focused on Sales Finance, FP&A, public-company readiness, bookings governance, executive reporting, and M&A integration. You will serve as a strategic finance partner to sales and finance leadership, helping translate business priorities into rigorous financial plans and actionable insights. The role combines long-range planning, forecasting, expense and headcount management, bookings reconciliation, and executive-level reporting. You will play an important part in strengthening processes, controls, audit readiness, and compliance as the organization prepares for public-company requirements. The position also provides significant exposure to M&A, supporting the integration of acquired businesses into the broader operating model. You will collaborate across Sales, Customer Support, Professional Services, Revenue Operations, and specialized sales functions in a highly cross-functional environment. As a people leader, you will develop a geographically distributed finance team while using AI-enabled tools to improve planning, analysis, reconciliation, and executive decision-making.

Act as a strategic finance partner to Sales Finance, Worldwide Field Operations, and sales leadership, providing financial insight and guidance to support growth and transformation objectives. Lead core Sales Finance FP&A activities, including long-range planning, forecasting, expense planning, and consolidation of geographic and regional forecasts. Own Worldwide Field Operations operating expense and headcount budgets, monitor performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to finance and business leadership. Strengthen public-company and IPO readiness by improving sales-finance processes, internal controls, audit support, and compliance across commissions, bookings, and related activities. Own monthly bookings accuracy, consolidation, reconciliation, and close processes, delivering trend analysis and actionable insights to Sales Finance leadership and the Chief Revenue Officer. Develop and deliver operational, KPI, executive, and board-level reporting that enables informed decisions across Sales and Finance. Serve as the primary finance business partner for current and future M&A activities, supporting integration and the incorporation of acquired organizations into the operating model. Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Customer Support, Professional Services, Revenue Operations, and sales centers of excellence covering channels, hyperscalers, global systems integrators, security, and related functions. Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically distributed team of financial analysts while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Apply AI-enabled tools to build models and agents that improve planning and forecast accuracy, bookings and expense reconciliation, financial analysis, and executive presentations. Over the first year, establish reliable reporting and operating rhythms, lead annual and long-range planning, strengthen IPO-readiness initiatives, support M&A integration, and become a trusted strategic finance partner across key commercial and finance functions. Requirements: 12+ years of relevant experience in Sales Finance, FP&A, forecasting, long-range planning, and expense management, ideally within a technology or SaaS environment. Current public-company experience is preferred, with familiarity with IPO readiness, financial controls, audit processes, and compliance considered a strong advantage. Demonstrated experience with bookings accuracy, consolidation, reconciliation, and commissions-related financial processes. Experience supporting M&A integration and partnering with acquired organizations and diverse cross-functional teams. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to develop clear, executive- and board-level financial reporting. Strong business partnership and influencing skills, with the judgment and integrity to build trust with sales leaders, resolve issues efficiently, and guide important decisions. Proven experience leading and developing finance professionals while balancing multiple priorities, deadlines, and complex business requirements. Advanced Excel skills and Salesforce experience are required. Experience with Tableau, Databricks, SQL, and Anaplan is preferred. Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Glean, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT to develop models and agents, improve forecasting, reconcile financial data, and create executive-ready presentations. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment are essential. Benefits: Base salary of $159,000–$244,860 , plus potential eligibility for a corporate bonus. Comprehensive health coverage, generous paid time off, and flexible work options. Remote-friendly opportunity with the role based anywhere in the United States. Learning opportunities, career mobility programs, and leadership development workshops. Sixteen paid volunteer hours per year and access to global employee resource groups. Charitable giving program supported through an employer match. Opportunities to work across Sales Finance, FP&A, M&A, public-company readiness, and executive reporting in a high-impact leadership role. Exposure to AI-enabled financial planning, forecasting, reconciliation, analytics, and executive reporting tools. Opportunity to lead and mentor a geographically distributed finance team while partnering with senior business and finance stakeholders. A collaborative environment that emphasizes inclusion, continuous learning, professional growth, and healthy teamwork.
