Workforce Leadership: Lead, develop, and support field service engineering teams, ensuring employees have the necessary certifications, equipment, training, and technical capabilities to operate in sensitive and restricted environments. Capacity and Resource Planning: Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities, balancing urgent dispatch requirements with long-term project schedules, forecasting workforce needs, and maximizing productive, billable utilization. Commercial and Tender Management: Partner with sales and Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) teams to develop competitive service proposals, accurately defining technical scope, resource requirements, logistical constraints, and project risks while protecting margins. Digital Service Management: Champion ServiceMax or equivalent field service management platforms, maintaining accurate installed-base asset data, overseeing case lifecycles, and optimizing dispatch processes and workforce utilization. Continuous Improvement: Apply data-driven insights, Lean principles, and operational management practices to streamline workflows, improve service reliability, and strengthen business performance. Stakeholder and Customer Management: Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, communicate performance insights, resolve competing priorities, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Requirements Professional Experience: At least 12 years of service management experience in the defense, offshore, or maritime sectors. People Management: At least 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of 50 or more employees in remote, complex, or high-pressure environments. Operational Planning: At least 5 years of experience in Sales and Operations Planning, resource forecasting, or capacity management within a service-intensive environment. Digital Tools: At least 5 years of experience using ServiceMax or comparable Field Service Management (FSM) platforms, including responsibility for installed-base data integrity. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of defense, offshore, or maritime field operations, including site logistics, travel requirements, safety certifications, and restricted-site access procedures. Commercial Expertise: Proven ability to collaborate with sales and tendering teams on service proposals, technical scoping, risk assessment, resource allocation, and pricing considerations. This position is restricted to U.S. persons and requires successful completion of the applicable background investigation and clearance process. Leadership and Communication: Strong people-management skills, including performance management, hiring, coaching, conflict resolution, and team development, combined with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influencing abilities. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to interpret complex project schedules, operational metrics, and resource data to develop effective capacity plans and support business growth.
