We are looking for a full-time (40 h)

Football Services Manager (m/f/d)

to join our DFB EURO GmbH Management Office in Frankfurt/Main.

End date: 31st August 2029

Relevant Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Football Services function, and alongside UEFA set the strategy for the delivery of top-level service and facilities to participating teams during the tournament
  • Actively participate in the operational reporting structure established between DFB EURO GmbH and UEFA
  • Supervise the appointed accommodation agency with the sourcing, contracting, operational planning & delivery of elite team training and accommodation facilities for the 16 teams and referees in UEFA WOMEN’S EURO 2029
  • Manage a wider team to lead the delivery of football related services in match venues including pitch surroundings and facilities for teams, match officers & referees
  • Implement a pitch monitoring programme to ensure the delivery of first-class pitch conditions both at training venues and match venues working alongside appointed pitch consultants and existing grounds management teams
  • Integrate the football services delivery into wider tournament planning including security, medical services, signage, logistics and venue management (for stadium related matters)
  • Manage and oversee the budget for the football services domain in line with agreed parameters
  • Monitor and guide the delivery of high level and consistent facilities for the participating teams during the tournament in line with tournament requirements
  • Supervise national association visits, including travel and base camp selection process
  • Lead the recruitment and support UEFA with the training, management and deployment of 16 designated Team Liaison Officers.
  • Develop processes and protocols with appropriate stakeholders to enable teams to smoothly operate in Germany including but not limited to customs and visa assistance
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained

The Person

  • Projectmanagement knowledge and experience
  • A detailed working knowledge of professional sports environments and their requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of elite football/sports facilities within Germany
  • Experience in building and leading a delivery team
  • Experience working within a professional football environment
  • Experience working on major international football events
  • Proficent in German and English, any additional European language is an asset

As the local organising committee of Women’s UEFA EURO 2029, DFB EURO GmbH will ensure the successful delivery of the tournament together with UEFA, across 8 Host Stadiums and Host Cities.

The Football Services Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Football Services function at UEFA WOMEN’S EURO 2029 including the overseeing of the sourcing, contracting and operational delivery of team training and accommodation facilities by the DFB-Reisebüro (DFB-travel agency). In addition, the role holder will be responsible for in-stadium football related facilities with the aim to deliver first class services to participating teams and officials alongside the recruitment and management of team liaison officers at tournament time.
