ABOUT THE ROLE
Full job description
ABOUT THE ROLE As the first go-to-market hire at an early-stage enterprise AI company, you will build the initial sales motion and source and close enterprise deals. You will work closely with customers and the product team, using market feedback to shape how the product develops. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Identify promising buyer personas and customer segments for the product.
- Build outbound campaigns from the ground up, including prospect lists, email sequences, and channel tests.
- Experiment with sales tactics, assess results, and stop investing in approaches that do not perform.
- Source and close enterprise deals, setting success criteria with customers before pilots begin.
- Learn how customers use AI agents and share their needs, feedback, and objections with the product team.
- Manage your sales budget and take responsibility for pipeline and closing targets. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 2 years of enterprise sales or business development experience, with a record of beating quota on deals you sourced and closed yourself.
- Experience building outbound campaigns from prospecting through delivery and close, and testing multiple channels based on results.
- Ability to quickly understand a prospect's business model and financial metrics and discuss relevant numbers early in the sales process.
- Fluency with modern go-to-market tools and experience building custom workflows and automation.
- Strong writing skills for communications and proposals that speak to both technical and financial stakeholders.
- Resourcefulness in reaching decision-makers and moving deals forward when standard outreach does not work.
- Early-stage startup, founder, or college or professional athletics experience is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $80,000 to $120,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site five days a week in San Francisco, California.
