France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship 2027 in France | Fully Funded Are you an international student planning to pursue a Master’s degree or PhD in France? The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship 2027 offers an excellent opportunity for outstanding international students to study at French higher education institutions with financial support from the French government. Developed by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Eiffel Scholarship Programme aims to attract talented international students and prepare future leaders in the public and private sectors. The scholarship supports selected students pursuing eligible Master’s, engineering, and doctoral programmes at participating French institutions. Benefits of the Eiffel Scholarship 2027 The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship provides financial assistance and additional services to selected international students. Master’s students may receive:
A monthly allowance of €1,200 from January 2026. International and national transportation support. Insurance and assistance with finding accommodation. Access to cultural activities and other programme-related services.
Doctoral students may receive:
A monthly allowance of €2,100 from January 2026. International and national transportation support. Insurance, accommodation-search assistance, and cultural activities.
The scholarship can support Master’s studies for up to 12 months for M2, 24 months for M1, or 36 months for an engineering programme. Doctoral funding may range from 12 to 36 months, depending on the programme and applicable rules. Important: The Eiffel Scholarship does not cover tuition fees under the programme itself. Applicants should confirm tuition costs and any applicable exemptions directly with their chosen institution. It is therefore important to check the full cost of studying in France before applying. Eligible Fields of Study The scholarship covers seven priority fields across science, technology, humanities, and social sciences. Science and Technology
Biology and Health Ecological Transition Mathematics and Digital Sciences Engineering Sciences
Humanities and Social Sciences
History, French Language and Civilization Law and Political Science Economics and Management
Eligibility Criteria The programme is intended for academically outstanding international students. Under the published eligibility framework, Master’s applicants must generally be no older than 29, while doctoral applicants must generally be no older than 35, subject to the rules of the relevant campaign. Applicants should also meet the admission requirements of their chosen French institution and satisfy the specific conditions for their intended programme. How to Apply for the France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship 2027 The application process is different from many other scholarships because students cannot apply directly to Campus France.
Identify a French university or higher education institution offering a suitable eligible programme. Contact its international relations or admissions office to express your interest in the Eiffel Scholarship. Prepare the academic documents and other materials requested by the institution. If the institution selects and supports your candidacy, it will submit your application to Campus France. Wait for the official selection results.
The final deadline for French institutions to submit applications for the 2027 campaign is 6 January 2027. Individual universities may set earlier internal deadlines, so contact your preferred institution as soon as possible.
