Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Frontend Engineer based in United States. This is a hands-on frontend engineering role focused on building and maintaining features for a large-scale cloud management web console. You will work extensively with React and TypeScript within a mature, shared production codebase. The role covers the full feature lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production verification. Strong testing practices are central to the position, with unit and integration tests expected as part of everyday development. You will integrate frontend experiences with production REST APIs and established design systems while collaborating with engineering, product, and design stakeholders. The environment is distributed and collaborative, offering significant ownership and opportunities to contribute to shared frontend architecture, tooling, and engineering practices.
Build, maintain, and improve production frontend features using React and TypeScript, including complex forms, configuration workflows, dashboards, and other interactive application experiences. Apply strong React fundamentals, including hooks, state management, component architecture, reusable patterns, and maintainable frontend design. Translate product and UI/UX requirements into reliable production interfaces while working within established design systems and shared component libraries. Contribute to shared frontend components, libraries, tooling, architecture, and engineering patterns that improve development quality and consistency. Write unit and integration tests alongside feature development, build testable components and application logic, and continuously maintain existing test suites. Diagnose and resolve regressions, edge cases, frontend defects, and production issues while maintaining high standards for reliability, readability, and maintainability. Integrate frontend applications with production REST APIs and build reliable interfaces around complex API-backed workflows and configuration models. Manage application state, validation, errors, loading states, and API responses effectively, collaborating with backend engineers to troubleshoot frontend-to-service integrations. Own features end to end, from requirements gathering and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production verification. Work effectively with Git, pull-request workflows, automated linting, testing, build processes, and CI/CD pipelines within a large shared codebase. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, communicate implementation decisions and risks clearly, and document technical decisions when appropriate. Use GenAI-assisted development tools effectively while independently validating, testing, maintaining, and taking ownership of the resulting code. Collaborate asynchronously with engineers, product stakeholders, and designers across a distributed environment while maintaining a high degree of individual ownership. Requirements: Have 5+ years of professional frontend software development experience, with substantial hands-on experience building production web applications using React and TypeScript. Demonstrate strong knowledge of React hooks, component architecture, state management, complex forms, modern JavaScript, and frontend engineering fundamentals. Have practical experience writing unit and integration tests as an integral part of production feature development. Have production experience consuming and integrating REST APIs, including handling application state, validation, errors, loading states, and API responses. Have experience contributing to large, shared production codebases and working within established frontend architecture, engineering standards, and reusable component ecosystems. Have strong experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, automated linting, testing, build processes, and CI/CD workflows. Be able to debug issues across the UI, application state, API, and backend integration layers. Have experience using GenAI-assisted coding tools while being able to independently understand, validate, test, and maintain generated code. Hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience. Communicate clearly in written and verbal form and collaborate effectively within distributed, asynchronous engineering teams. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high degree of ownership, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with broader engineering teams. Be comfortable receiving and providing constructive code-review feedback and adapting to established engineering standards and patterns. Be capable of taking a feature from an initial requirement through technical implementation, testing, production delivery, and verification. Experience with monorepos, established design systems, Node.js, Python, broader full-stack development, GenAI-powered products, cloud portals, developer tools, administrative consoles, dashboards, or configuration-heavy applications is preferred. Experience improving shared frontend tooling, architecture, developer experience, or working within large engineering organizations and mature software platforms is also advantageous. Benefits: Fully remote work within the specified Latin American coverage. Remote contract opportunity focused on large-scale cloud management software. Hands-on ownership across the complete frontend feature lifecycle. Opportunity to work extensively with React, TypeScript, REST APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, and established design systems. Exposure to mature frontend architecture, shared component libraries, large production codebases, and complex configuration-driven applications. Opportunity to contribute to shared engineering tooling, architecture, developer experience, and reusable frontend patterns. Experience working in a distributed engineering environment alongside product, design, backend, and frontend professionals. Practical exposure to GenAI-assisted software development and modern engineering workflows.
