Full Job Description

Join our international team as a Human Resources Specialist in Lithuania, Kaunas office.

HR Specialist is responsible for delivering accurate and timely HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle across assigned countries. The role manages employment documentation, payroll administration, HR data and reporting, and supports compliance with local requirements and Biomapas processes.

HR Specialist provides timely, customer-focused support to employees and managers and works closely with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage employment contracts and related HR documentation for Lithuania and international locations, ensuring compliance with local legislation and company policies
  • Coordinate onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding, including intern onboarding, to ensure a smooth employee journey
  • Administer working time, absences, annual leave, and employee benefits were locally applicable
  • Prepare accurate and timely payroll inputs and review payroll calculations and payslips before finalization, collaborating with Finance, Accounting, and external payroll providers to resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate HR administration with external consultants and partners
  • Maintain accurate employee records in Hibob and relevant systems, ensuring timely job description signoffs and up-to-date CVs
  • Provide daily HR support to employees and managers, prepare HR communications, and share knowledge within the People Operations team
  • Prepare standard HR documents such as orders, certificates, amendments, employment letters and confirmations
  • Coordinate occupational health and safety administration and right-to-work checks were required
  • Prepare HR operational reports, including KPIs, workforce data, and vacation accruals
  • Contribute to various HR projects and process improvements as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR operations or a similar role (preferably international/fast-paced environment)
  • Solid understanding of Lithuanian labor law and employment documentation
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems (e.g. HiBob, Dynamics 365 Business Central or other HRIS platforms)
  • Excellent communication skills in both Lithuanian and English
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Trustworthy and discreet in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset; eager to learn in a changing environment
  • Skilled in MS Office, especially Excel
