Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC Position: Industrial Designer III (multiple positions available) Location: Bellevue, WA

Multiple Positions Available:

1. Serve as mechanical engineering systems technical lead to contribute to the design and development of efficient and intelligent logistics, supply chain and/or fulfillment systems and operations to enhance system and process efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
2. Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow and transformation and human-machine efficiency problems throughout the stages of the global Amazon supply chain.
3. Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment and/or transportation network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
4. Serve as industrial process engineering subject matter expert in collaborations with internal teams to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
5. Drive multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
6. Contributing to the development of and/or leveraging state-of-the-art process and system machinery and technology, including automation, AI, and robotics.
7. Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects.
8. Evaluate and create physical processing and material storage solutions using cutting edge technology, robotics, and data analytics to meet the product flow requirements based on Amazon design principles.
9. Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics as part of the program and feature selection to drive smart decisions.
10. Coordinate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features and optimize the performance of the fulfillment centers.
11. Domestic or international travel up to 20% to perform role responsibilities may be required.

(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $144,477.00/year to $178,800.00/year)

Basic Qualifications

A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any discipline) or related field and 2 year (s) of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any discipline) or related field followed by 5 year(s) of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Must have 2 year(s) of experience in the following:

1. Experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related.
2. Experience in ownership/management of engineering design projects.
3. Experience using business/technical software including MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.

The pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $144,477.00/year to $178,800.00/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
