Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mirakl Dropship Configuration Lead (Contract) based in the United States . This contract opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Mirakl specialist who can lead dropship configuration and large-scale vendor migration for an enterprise commerce transformation. You will play a central role in transitioning an established vendor network to Mirakl while supporting a new Shopify-based commerce platform. Working alongside program management, architecture, and engineering teams, you will own the Mirakl configuration workstream from discovery and design through launch and post-launch support. Your responsibilities will include designing catalog structures, configuring workflows, coordinating vendor onboarding, and ensuring seamless integration between Mirakl and Shopify. You will also guide technical migration activities, develop testing strategies, and help minimize disruption to existing vendor operations and live orders. This remote-first engagement offers flexible working hours, with increased availability required during critical migration milestones. Expected to last approximately 6–9 months, the project provides an opportunity to deliver a complex enterprise implementation with measurable operational impact.

Lead discovery and solution design: Assess the existing Mirakl environment, review responsibilities and ownership arrangements, identify configuration gaps, and design the dropship operating model. Define catalog and attribute structures, category mapping, offer and inventory rules, and order, shipping, cancellation, and returns workflows. Own Mirakl configuration: Configure the platform according to established best practices, document configuration decisions, establish catalog templates and validation rules, and develop standardized vendor onboarding workflows. Coordinate Shopify integration: Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to define how orders and status updates flow between Mirakl and Shopify. Explain integration requirements, identify technical constraints, and flag requirements that could introduce unnecessary custom development within Mirakl. Plan and execute vendor migration: Develop a structured migration strategy for approximately 30 existing vendors, potentially expanding to 50 or more, alongside new vendors joining the program. Segment vendors by integration method, including Shopify connectors, EDI, SPS Commerce, APIs, and file-based integrations. Manage vendor onboarding: Pilot the onboarding approach with new vendors before migrating the existing vendor network. Support parallel operations with the incumbent marketplace provider and coordinate the transition of remaining vendors while minimizing disruption to live orders. Provide technical guidance and documentation: Prepare vendor onboarding guides, facilitate group training sessions, document configuration decisions, and communicate technical requirements clearly to stakeholders. Serve as the primary Mirakl subject-matter expert while the client retains ownership of vendor relationships. Drive testing and launch readiness: Develop Mirakl test scenarios for the system integration testing plan, support test execution, identify configuration issues, and coordinate their resolution before launch. Support go-live and hypercare: Provide hands-on support during cutover and post-launch stabilization, monitor risks and outstanding issues, and prepare operational runbooks for handover to the client's operations team. Maintain delivery visibility: Keep the program manager informed of progress, dependencies, technical challenges, and risks to the project timeline throughout discovery, build, migration, and hypercare. Requirements Mirakl expertise: At least three years of hands-on experience with Mirakl on the operator side, either at the platform provider or through an implementation partner, including professional services, implementation, or customer success. Dropship implementation experience: Participation in or leadership of at least two Mirakl Dropship launches, with direct involvement from configuration through vendor go-live. Platform configuration knowledge: Detailed understanding of the Mirakl back office, including catalog and attribute configuration, category mapping, offer and inventory management, order workflows, and vendor onboarding. Vendor migration and integration experience: Proven experience onboarding vendors at scale through EDI, APIs, and connector-based integrations. Previous experience migrating vendors from another dropship platform, such as Logicbroker, Rithum, or CommerceHub, without disrupting live order processing is essential. Technical fluency: Sufficient understanding of Mirakl APIs and integration architecture to communicate requirements, assess technical constraints, and collaborate effectively with software engineers. Project delivery experience: Experience working within an agency or systems integrator environment, collaborating with cross-functional technical teams while operating under another person's program management. Communication and documentation: Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear configuration documentation, vendor guides, implementation decisions, testing scenarios, and client-facing status updates. Preferred qualifications: Experience with the Mirakl Platform Connector for Shopify or other Mirakl-to-Shopify integrations; familiarity with order management and orchestration middleware; exposure to hospitality, travel retail, or loyalty-linked commerce; and relevant Mirakl certifications. Working style: A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage complex technical dependencies, adapt to changing project priorities, and increase availability during intensive migration periods. Benefits Flexible working schedule: Approximately 10–20 hours per week on average, with the flexibility to adjust working hours around project milestones and delivery needs. Remote-first environment: Work remotely from the United States while collaborating with a distributed delivery team. Contract duration: An anticipated 6–9-month engagement, including post-launch hypercare, subject to confirmation following discovery. Professional development: Access to continued education and opportunities to expand your expertise in marketplace technology, dropship operations, and enterprise commerce integrations. High-impact project: Take ownership of a critical Mirakl workstream within a major Shopify commerce transformation. Technical leadership opportunity: Serve as the primary Mirakl specialist, shaping configuration decisions, vendor migration strategy, integration requirements, and operational readiness. Dynamic workload: Opportunity to contribute across the entire project lifecycle, from discovery and design to implementation, migration, launch, and stabilization. Inclusive work environment: Equal opportunity employment practices that promote fairness and prohibit discrimination based on protected characteristics. Engagement timeline: Discovery is expected to begin in December 2026, with the build phase starting in February 2027. Workload is expected to increase to near full-time during vendor migration.
