The EU-funded MMoCRA Intra-Africa Academic Mobility programme is accepting first-cohort applications from eligible Guinea-Bissau nationals and residents for fully funded Master’s and doctoral mobility focused on climate resilience, energy, agrifood systems and related research.

Guinea-Bissau is explicitly listed among Target Group 2 eligible Western African countries in the official MMoCRA application guidelines. Student mobility can be credit-seeking or degree-seeking, with study or research hosted by eligible consortium universities in Uganda, Kenya, Namibia or South Africa. Research themes include climate and energy, agrifood systems, digital technologies, critical raw materials, water, biodiversity and sustainable development.
Eligibility requirements
At application, student candidates must be nationals of and resident in an African country. Target Group 2 includes Guinea-Bissau and covers applicants registered/admitted in, or graduates of, an African higher-education institution outside the five African MMoCRA partner institutions. Mobility must be to an eligible host country different from the scholarship holder’s nationality and residence. Target Group 2 applicants must also satisfy host-program admission requirements and provide proof of admission to a partner university plus a letter from a proposed supervisor and/or head of department.
