Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Multifamily Fee Compliance Expert based in United States. As a Multifamily Fee Compliance Expert, you will serve as the subject-matter expert supporting multifamily operators with fee transparency, advertising accuracy, and regulatory compliance. You will combine hands-on industry knowledge with research and analytical skills to help customers understand how their apartment fees are presented across channels. The role blends solutions consulting, customer engagement, regulatory research, and product collaboration. You will lead product demonstrations, prepare prospect-specific analyses, and address detailed compliance questions with confidence. You will also monitor regulatory developments and translate complex requirements into clear guidance for customers and internal teams. This is an opportunity to shape how multifamily operators approach fee transparency while contributing directly to the evolution of a data-driven PropTech product.

Deliver product demonstrations to property management companies, owners, REITs, and multifamily operators ranging from regional businesses to national portfolios. Prepare prospect-specific analyses of live fee data to support effective and relevant customer conversations. Partner with Account Executives throughout active sales opportunities, engaging stakeholders across marketing, operations, revenue management, legal, and other relevant functions. Serve as a subject-matter expert on fee compliance, addressing customer questions and objections using approved positioning and coordinating with legal teams when appropriate. Support Customer Success teams with renewals and expansions, particularly as customers enter new markets and encounter additional regulatory requirements. Monitor federal, state, and local regulatory developments affecting rental fee advertising, leasing, and disclosure practices. Translate new regulatory requirements into concise, actionable specifications that can guide product development and implementation. Maintain a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction reference covering applicable requirements, regulations, and effective dates. Develop educational materials for Sales and Marketing, including guides, one-pagers, webinars, and other resources. Represent the organization at relevant industry events and contribute expertise to multifamily industry discussions. Gather customer feedback, identify unmet needs, and communicate insights to the product team to inform future product improvements. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in the multifamily industry, ideally with a property management company, owner-operator, or REIT. Direct experience working with apartment fee structures in areas such as legal, compliance, marketing, ILS, pricing, lease administration, advertising review, or consumer protection. Practical knowledge of fee disclosure practices, including mandatory, optional, and conditional fees. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, practical written guidance. Confident presentation and communication skills, with the ability to present to executive audiences and respond effectively to detailed questions. Strong ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, revenue management, legal, customer success, and product teams. Experience supporting multi-state multifamily portfolios is a plus. A paralegal certificate, JD, or compliance credential is a plus. Pre-sales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing SaaS experience is a plus. Established relationships with apartment industry associations are a plus. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available. Benefits: Remote-first work environment with the flexibility to work from home across most of the United States. Competitive compensation aligned with experience, expertise, and impact. Flexible vacation policy and paid parental leave. Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for employees and their families. 100% company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and basic life insurance. Supplemental insurance options and specialized pet insurance coverage. 401(k) program to support long-term financial planning. Opportunities to participate in high-energy in-person company offsites and build connections with a distributed team. Opportunity to contribute to innovative PropTech products and influence the future of multifamily fee transparency and compliance.
