The NL Scholarship at the University of Twente provides a €5,000 first-year contribution for excellent non-EU/EEA students entering an eligible master's programme in 2027/28.

The scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science together with Dutch higher-education institutions. At the University of Twente it provides €5,000 for the first year only as compensation for study-related costs; recipients decide how to use the award.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must come from a non-EU/EEA country, start an eligible University of Twente master's programme in academic year 2027/2028, have conditional or final admission, and normally rank in the top 5–10% of their graduating class with a stated CGPA benchmark of 7.5/10. Applicants must meet the university's English-language and visa requirements where applicable, must not be eligible for a Dutch study grant, and must not previously have completed a full degree in the Netherlands or hold a degree from a Dutch education institution as specified by the current page.
