This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an OWA Member Support Specialist based in Brazil. As an OWA Member Support Specialist, you will help coordinate the operations, programs, and digital resources that enable a global coalition of animal protection organizations to advance its mission. You will manage key initiatives, including mentorship programs and virtual training, while ensuring members have access to the tools, information, and support they need to succeed. Working across project management, data analysis, digital platforms, and communications, you will help strengthen collaboration among more than 80 member organizations worldwide. You will take ownership of day-to-day operations while identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance member engagement, and increase organizational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and relationship-building in a purpose-driven, international environment. If you are proactive, highly organized, and motivated by meaningful global impact, this is an opportunity to contribute to a coordinated movement for animal protection.

Operations and member support: Coordinate essential administrative and operational activities, including new member onboarding, quarterly orientations, virtual events, and management of the general alliance inbox. Provide technical support during online events, introduce speakers, facilitate Q&A sessions, and manage incoming requests by prioritizing deadlines, urgency, and team needs. Digital platform management: Maintain the alliance's digital ecosystem, including Salesforce, Strapi, Mailchimp, Vimeo, Slack, and the member website. Manage user access, maintain accurate records, troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with platform support teams, and identify opportunities to improve data quality and operational efficiency. Project management and program development: Independently plan, deliver, and continuously improve key initiatives, including the mentorship program and Virtual Training Academy. Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder contributions while collaborating with subject matter experts and strategists to develop accessible learning modules and resources. Grants and cross-functional support: Assist with grant programs, travel awards, and other cross-functional initiatives by supporting research, platform implementation, petition setup, due diligence, documentation requirements, grant portal troubleshooting, and follow-up on outstanding items. Knowledge management and documentation: Maintain an organized operational knowledge base by developing, reviewing, and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow documentation, and practical guidance. Keep shared resources accessible and current across Google Drive and internal knowledge platforms. Data collection and analysis: Design, administer, and analyze biannual membership surveys, including mid-year feedback and end-of-year organizational information surveys. Gather insights from Slack, newsletters, and the member website, identify trends, and produce clear reports to inform strategic decisions and program improvements. Communications and engagement: Coordinate professional, timely, and culturally responsive communications with members worldwide. Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters, highlight member success stories, coordinate annual review content, and manage communications for virtual events, mentorship initiatives, and new programs. Continuous improvement and problem-solving: Identify recurring operational and technical challenges, investigate root causes, and implement practical solutions. Adapt to evolving priorities, recommend improvements to programs and workflows, and exercise sound judgment in determining when to make independent decisions or escalate complex matters. Requirements: Organization and project management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities independently, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail, and follow deliverables through from planning to completion. Technology proficiency: Working knowledge of digital tools and platforms, such as CRM systems, website content management systems, project management software, email marketing platforms, and online community tools. Ability to maintain data integrity, troubleshoot technical issues, learn new systems, and identify opportunities for automation and workflow optimization. Initiative and adaptability: A proactive, self-directed approach to work, with the ability to operate independently, respond constructively to changing priorities, identify process improvements, and seek guidance when appropriate. Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing professional external communications, facilitating virtual events, managing correspondence, and creating clear documentation, SOPs, and learning resources. Demonstrated diplomacy, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt communication to different audiences. Collaboration and interpersonal skills: A collaborative and respectful working style, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners, contribute to team projects, give and receive feedback constructively, and support a positive team culture. Data analysis and reporting: Strong skills in data gathering, tracking, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to translate information into accurate, accessible insights that support informed decision-making. Learning content development and accessibility: Ability to organize information into structured digital learning materials, collaborate with subject matter experts, learn new content development tools, and incorporate accessibility features such as captions and accessible formatting. Problem-solving and decision-making: Ability to assess technical and operational challenges, investigate underlying causes, evaluate potential solutions, implement improvements, and recognize when sensitive or high-impact decisions require additional input or escalation. Strategic thinking: Understanding of how operational processes and member-facing programs contribute to broader organizational objectives, with the ability to recommend improvements and support the implementation of agreed priorities. Global perspective: Cultural awareness and a global mindset, with the ability to consider the different experiences, languages, cultures, and political contexts of international member organizations. Financial and administrative accuracy: Ability to maintain accurate records, follow financial procedures, coordinate vendors, arrange supplies or services, and collect reimbursement information with care and attention to detail. Mission alignment: A genuine interest in supporting animal protection and global advocacy efforts, with a willingness to contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven organization. Location and availability: Must be authorized to work in Brazil and reside in Brazil throughout the engagement. Willingness to undertake at least two domestic or international trips per year and occasionally work outside standard 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours to accommodate global collaboration.
