Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Paid Media Specialist - Contractor based in the United States. This is a hands-on paid media role focused on managing and optimizing campaigns across Google Ads and an expanding mix of emerging channels. You will own the weekly performance cycle from monitoring and diagnosis through recommendations, execution, and measurement. Google Search, YouTube, and App campaigns represent the core of the role, with opportunities to work across platforms such as Reddit, TikTok, StackAdapt, and emerging ad surfaces. The role combines analytical thinking with direct in-platform execution, giving you ownership over how performance is interpreted and improved. You will work within established strategies and guardrails while independently identifying opportunities, resolving issues, and prioritizing meaningful changes. Success requires strong attention to detail, reliable execution, and the ability to turn performance data into clear business actions. This is a remote, U.S.-based contract opportunity expected to run from approximately November 2026 through January 2027, with potential for extension.

Monitor paid media performance across Google Ads and other active channels, tracking KPIs such as CPA/CPL, ROAS, spend pacing, conversion volume and quality, impression share, and relevant marketplace signals. Maintain account health by identifying pacing issues, policy violations, disapprovals, broken links, tracking problems, and other performance risks. Proactively identify anomalies, performance declines, emerging opportunities, and optimization priorities before they become larger issues. Diagnose the underlying drivers of performance changes, including search queries, audiences, competition, creative fatigue, bidding, budgets, targeting, and conversion tracking. Develop prioritized weekly recommendations with clear proposed actions, rationale, expected impact, and risk considerations. Identify opportunities involving keywords, audiences, placements, budget allocation, creative testing, account structure, and emerging advertising channels. Implement approved campaign changes directly within advertising platforms, including bids, budgets, targeting, negatives, creative assets, campaigns, ad groups, and video or app assets. Manage automated bidding strategies, campaign settings, match types, audiences, placements, and other core paid media mechanics while following established autonomy and approval guidelines. Maintain campaign hygiene through consistent naming conventions, UTM standards, taxonomy, documentation, and change logs. Participate in weekly performance reviews, measure the impact of changes, and continuously refine the optimization cycle across channels. Support expansion into new and emerging advertising platforms, adapting the same observe-analyze-recommend-execute discipline to each channel. Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid media campaigns, including deep and recent execution across Google Search, YouTube/video, and App campaigns. Demonstrated hands-on experience beyond Google Ads, with platforms such as Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads, StackAdapt, Meta, Microsoft/Bing, or comparable native and programmatic channels. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data, identify root causes, prioritize actions, and communicate clear recommendations. Advanced working knowledge of Google Ads and Google Ads Editor, with the ability to execute bulk changes accurately and efficiently. Strong understanding of automated bidding, including tCPA and tROAS, as well as match types, negative keywords, audiences, placements, creative formats, and campaign settings. Excellent attention to detail, with disciplined documentation, quality control, and adherence to campaign conventions. Ability to consistently manage a weekly optimization cadence and close the performance loop across multiple channels. Comfortable working within an established strategy and defined guardrails, while independently owning analysis and execution. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain campaign changes, rationale, and results in clear business language. Experience with conversion tracking, web analytics, Google Tag Manager, platform pixels, or related measurement tools is a plus. Experience with two-sided marketplaces, lead generation, real estate, rentals, or travel is advantageous. Familiarity with programmatic display, DSPs, competitive intelligence tools, app measurement, or mobile attribution platforms is a plus. Experience testing newer or AI-native advertising platforms and conversational-search advertising products is desirable. Platform certifications in Google Ads Search, Video, Apps, or comparable advertising technologies are advantageous. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and comfortable with a U.S.-based remote contract requiring Central Time-zone overlap. Benefits Fixed-term contract of approximately 3 months, from November 2026 through January 2027, with potential for extension. Approximately 15–25 hours per week, with workload potentially scaling based on active channels and business needs. Fully remote work within the United States. Central Time-zone overlap to support collaboration and weekly performance reviews. Company-provided computer and access to the required advertising, analytics, collaboration, and project-management tools. Opportunity to work across Google Ads, emerging paid media channels, and AI-native advertising surfaces. Hands-on ownership of meaningful campaign optimization and performance improvement initiatives. Exposure to a growing multi-channel paid media environment and evolving digital advertising technologies. Opportunity to contribute within a structured strategy and optimization framework while exercising meaningful analytical and execution ownership. Inclusive and collaborative work environment committed to diversity and equal opportunity.
