Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a People Experience Lead based in the United States. In this remote, part-time role, you will shape and deliver people strategy for a growing US healthcare and technology team operating within a global, AI-driven environment. Working closely with the Chief People Officer and senior leadership, you will provide strategic HR guidance across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development to performance, engagement, and employee relations. You will help build scalable people processes that support a distributed workforce and a rapidly evolving clinical delivery organization. Your expertise will be particularly valuable in supporting physicians and other licensed clinicians while navigating the complexities of multi-state employment. Beyond day-to-day HR operations, you will coach leaders, mentor People Experience colleagues, and strengthen a culture of trust, wellbeing, and accountability. Designed for an experienced HR generalist who values autonomy and meaningful impact, this opportunity offers the flexibility of a three-day working week.

Shape people strategy: Partner with the Chief People Officer to define and implement the people vision, strategic priorities, and initiatives supporting the US organization. Manage the employee lifecycle: Deliver comprehensive HR support across onboarding, employee relations, performance management, professional development, compensation cycles, engagement, and offboarding. Advise and develop leaders: Serve as a trusted advisor to US squad leads and managers, providing guidance on performance challenges, difficult conversations, team health, leadership effectiveness, and workforce capability. Own people programmes and policies: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve HR processes, policies, benefits, and leave programmes to meet the needs of a remote, AI-native, squad-based organization. Ensure employment compliance: Oversee people-related compliance across multiple US states, applying sound knowledge of employment requirements and escalating complex legal matters when appropriate. Support clinical workforce operations: Collaborate with credentialing, licensing, privileging, and physician recruitment colleagues to ensure connected and effective people processes, without assuming responsibility for clinical decisions or credentialing determinations. Coach and mentor colleagues: Build the capability and confidence of the People Experience team through practical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing, without relying on direct management authority. Use data to guide decisions: Analyze workforce data and people insights to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and recommend evidence-based improvements. Strengthen culture and engagement: Champion organizational values and lead initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, belonging, engagement, and collaboration across a geographically distributed workforce. Handle sensitive employee matters: Manage complex and confidential employee-relations issues with discretion, sound judgment, and appropriate escalation to the Chief People Officer and US legal counsel. Prioritize effectively: Balance strategic initiatives with operational responsibilities, ensuring the highest-impact people priorities are addressed within a three-day working week. Requirements At least 5 years of generalist HR or People Experience experience, including experience in a senior or lead-level capacity. Based in the United States, with practical experience managing multi-state US employment matters, including employee relations, compliance, benefits, and leave. Experience supporting clinical professionals, such as radiologists, physicians, or other licensed clinicians, within a health system, teleradiology, telehealth, or similar healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and executives to develop and implement people strategies aligned with organizational goals. Strong hands-on expertise across the employee lifecycle, including talent management, onboarding, performance, compensation, engagement, professional development, and employee relations. Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with a track record of developing others and influencing leaders without requiring direct managerial authority. Sound judgment, discretion, and integrity when managing complex, sensitive, and confidential employee matters. Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently, exercise autonomy, and deliver meaningful outcomes within a part-time schedule. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across teams, leadership levels, and professional disciplines. Nice to have: Experience in a healthcare system or a rapidly scaling healthcare or technology organization. Previous experience in teleradiology or telehealth. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field. Familiarity with squad-based, agile, or non-hierarchical organizational models, as well as multi-entity Management Services Organization (MSO) and Professional Corporation (PC) structures. Experience using people analytics tools and applying workforce data to improve decision-making. A strong interest in AI-native organizations and the opportunities AI creates for the future of work and healthcare. Benefits Competitive compensation: Annual full-time-equivalent base salary of $100,000–$150,000, prorated for a 0.6 FTE schedule of three days per week. Equity participation: Opportunity to receive equity as part of the total compensation package. Performance bonus: Eligibility for bonus compensation. Remote work and flexibility: Work remotely within the United States, with flexible hours and autonomy over how you organize your work. Professional development: Annual learning and development budgets, mentoring opportunities, hackathons, and secondments. Career growth: Access to a transparent growth framework designed to support professional development and career progression. Inclusive family support: Family-focused policies designed to support different life stages and circumstances, including fertility, parenthood, loss, and grandparenthood. Global collaboration: Opportunity to work with an international team in a culture that values trust, autonomy, and collaboration. Purpose-driven work: Contribute to AI-powered healthcare innovation focused on improving diagnostic capabilities, patient outcomes, and access to quality care.
