Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Performance Marketing Account Lead based in the United States. This is a fully remote leadership role focused on driving client success, paid media performance, and team effectiveness across a diverse portfolio of accounts. You will own strategic outcomes for clients while also supporting the performance and development of direct reports. The role combines hands-on expertise across major paid advertising platforms with client leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight. You will manage key accounts directly while providing guidance across additional accounts led by your team. Success in this position requires strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate performance data into clear business recommendations. You will also play an important role in improving team processes, resolving challenges, and maintaining high standards of execution. The environment is collaborative, remote-first, and designed for professionals who enjoy both strategic ownership and hands-on digital marketing work.

Own client success across directly managed accounts and those overseen by your direct reports, with accountability for advertising performance, client satisfaction, retention, and account growth. Apply hands-on, cross-channel expertise across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, and emerging paid media channels to shape strategy, execution, testing, optimization, and measurement. Manage a portfolio of key accounts directly, leading strategy, campaign execution, client relationships, expectations, and delivery against agreed business objectives. Lead, coach, and develop direct reports by setting priorities, balancing workloads, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their professional growth and performance. Own the quality and timely delivery of team work, ensuring campaigns, testing plans, reporting, and client deliverables meet established standards and remain aligned with goals, timelines, and budgets. Act as the first point of escalation for account and team challenges, proactively identifying issues, determining solutions, and driving resolution. Keep leadership informed on account health, team performance, capacity, and potential risks while providing clear recommendations and next steps. Maintain and improve department processes, reinforcing shared standards and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and quality. Support business development activities when needed through account audits, strategic recommendations, and prospect presentations. Requirements: 8+ years of paid advertising experience, including substantial client-facing experience with account strategy, campaign execution, and relationship management. Strong hands-on expertise across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn, and Meta, with the ability to independently guide cross-channel strategy, testing, execution, and measurement. At least 1 year of experience managing direct reports, with responsibility for team development, quality of work, and client outcomes. Demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts across different business models, objectives, and budgets, including senior-level client relationships and account retention and growth. Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, with experience leading business reviews and translating data into clear insights, strategic recommendations, and prioritized actions. Excellent judgment, organization, and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple accounts and team workloads while identifying and addressing risks early. Clear, concise, and timely communication skills, including the ability to set expectations, provide constructive feedback, listen effectively, and navigate challenging client or team conversations. Experience in additional marketing channels such as SEO, CRO, organic social, or email is a plus. Experience with both in-house and agency environments, building scalable processes or playbooks, training teams, working remotely, or testing emerging paid channels is also valued. Entrepreneurial curiosity, adaptability, and a genuine interest in the evolving digital marketing landscape. Based in the United States and comfortable working in a fully remote environment. Benefits: Annual salary range of $105,000–$120,000 . Fully remote work with flexible working hours. Flexible paid time off. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. HSA, FSA, and dependent care FSA options. 401(k) plan with company matching. Wellness bonus that can be used toward eligible wellness activities and services. Annual professional development stipend. Internet reimbursement, company-provided laptop, and home office equipment stipend. Parental leave of up to 12 weeks, including 3 weeks paid and 9 weeks unpaid. 529 College Savings Plan. Birthday and work-anniversary recognition and surprises.
