Product Manager - ELD & Fleet Compliance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager - ELD & Fleet Compliance based in United States. This role will own and help shape products focused on Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and fleet compliance within a connected hardware and software environment. You will guide the product lifecycle from discovery and prioritization through development, launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement. Working closely with Engineering, Design, hardware, and telematics teams, you will translate customer and regulatory needs into clear product requirements and deliverables. A key part of the role is ensuring ELD and Hours of Service (HOS) capabilities remain aligned with evolving federal and state requirements. You will also engage directly with drivers, fleet safety managers, compliance professionals, and other users to understand their challenges and improve product value. Lead and manage the full product and feature lifecycle, from initial planning and discovery through development, launch, adoption, maintenance, and continuous improvement. Own the product roadmap for ELD and Hours of Service compliance capabilities, ensuring features remain aligned with FMCSA ELD requirements and applicable federal and state regulations. Define product specifications and supporting documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process workflows, state transition diagrams, wireframes, personas, copy requirements, and acceptance test plans. Translate high-level business and customer requirements into a prioritized product backlog, manage epics and user stories, and conduct acceptance testing throughout product iterations. Partner closely with Engineering, Design, hardware, and telematics teams to ensure device connectivity, data accuracy, and compliance workflows such as HOS logs, DVIRs, and IFTA reporting meet regulatory and customer expectations. Establish clear product goals and KPIs focused on customer value, adoption, and user utility, while developing strategies to achieve measurable outcomes. Capture and represent the voice of customers through end-user research, identifying goals, pain points, and opportunities and communicating key insights to internal stakeholders. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate product performance, identify successful strategies, and uncover new product opportunities. Monitor regulatory developments from FMCSA and other governing bodies and translate changes into product requirements ahead of compliance deadlines. Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, Design, Development, and other stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, release plans, and go-to-market activities. Identify opportunities to improve automation and operational efficiency while championing product adoption and continuous improvement across the organization. Requirements: Bring 7+ years of experience in an analytical or product-focused role, including at least 5 years delivering products as a Product Manager. Have 2+ years of experience writing user stories and defining epics, with strong ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable product specifications. Demonstrate experience bringing technology products to market in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a B2B SaaS organization. Have experience managing ELD products or features, with familiarity with the FMCSA ELD mandate, Hours of Service regulations, and related compliance workflows such as DVIR and IFTA strongly preferred. Bring experience in construction technology, fleet management, IoT, or a closely related industry, with an understanding of connected hardware and software ecosystems. Possess a working understanding of software development and prior experience writing or interpreting code is strongly preferred. Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, sound decision-making, creative problem-solving, and the ability to identify opportunities for product and process improvements. Be comfortable creating clear, targeted documentation, including process flows, standard operating procedures, product requirements, and acceptance criteria. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineering teams, business leaders, customers, and regulatory or compliance professionals. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Design, Information Technology, Economics, or a related STEM field, or have equivalent experience.
