This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Program Manager, Membership & Engagement based in Brazil. This role offers the opportunity to drive membership growth and engagement across key Latin American markets, with a particular focus on Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile. You’ll translate regional strategy into practical programs that strengthen acquisition, retention, and member value. The position combines market research, partnership development, chapter support, events, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll collaborate with global teams, volunteer leaders, faculty advisors, universities, research institutions, and industry partners across diverse cultural environments. Your insights and execution will help shape localized approaches while contributing to broader international objectives. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced program professional who thrives on ownership, relationship building, and measurable impact.

Execute regional market development strategies across Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile, adapting initiatives to local market dynamics and member needs. Research member needs, institutional environments, competitive landscapes, and market trends to inform regional priorities and growth strategies. Identify and support opportunities for growth through academic partnerships, institutional engagement, industry collaboration, and other strategic relationships. Develop and execute initiatives designed to increase membership among students, early-career professionals, and institutional audiences. Support membership retention programs, monitor results, and recommend improvements to strengthen member value and renewal rates. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to localize messaging, campaigns, and value propositions for regional audiences. Serve as a key liaison for international and student chapters, maintaining strong relationships with volunteer leaders and faculty advisors. Support chapter activation, sustainability, and growth by helping leaders improve programming, relevance, participation, and member experiences. Develop pathways that encourage student members to transition into professional chapters or local engagement opportunities. Lead or support regional workshops, webinars, conferences, and partner activities aligned with awareness, membership, and engagement goals. Coordinate event logistics, vendors, stakeholder communications, and regional representation as required. Build and manage relationships with universities, research institutions, industry partners, and professional or scientific societies. Identify partnership opportunities and support the onboarding of new partners to expand regional reach and influence. Track program performance and engagement metrics, using data and market feedback to evaluate initiatives and recommend improvements. Coordinate effectively with global teams and diverse stakeholders while independently managing multiple priorities across countries. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. 5–8 years of experience in program management, membership organizations, international market engagement, or a related field. Professional proficiency in Spanish, including the ability to conduct business meetings and produce professional written communications. Strong experience supporting membership growth, engagement, retention, or community-building initiatives. Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into practical, measurable programs and actions. Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, countries, and stakeholder groups. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills, with confidence working across diverse cultural and professional environments. Experience monitoring performance metrics and using data and insights to guide program decisions. Demonstrated familiarity with Latin American markets, particularly Brazil and Mexico, is strongly preferred. Portuguese proficiency is strongly preferred. Experience in scientific, academic, nonprofit, professional association, or membership-based organizations is advantageous. An advanced degree is a plus. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management abilities. Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote, internationally distributed environment.
