Your Mission
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager based in Luxembourg for the start on 1 December 2026.
The Project Manager is responsible for executing AIRMO's institutional contracts and R&D projects in satellite data processing, and for coordinating the company's operational activities. The role works across the engineering, data and commercial teams and ensures that projects are delivered on scope, on schedule and on budget.

Manage institutional contracts and R&D projects end to end: kick-off, work plan, milestones, deliverables, reviews and close-out.

Plan and track scope, schedule, budget and resources; report progress to technical officers and to management.

Prepare project documentation: progress reports, minutes of meeting, deliverable packages, cost reports and contract change notices.

Coordinate internal engineers and data scientists with external partners and subcontractors in consortium projects.

Translate project requirements into product and software tasks for the satellite and airborne data processing teams.

Owning the proposal preparation with work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, work package descriptions and cost estimates.

Act as the day-to-day contact for customers during delivery and identify follow-on opportunities.
Qualifications And Requirements

Technical requirements (Hard skills/ knowledge):
-
Minimum 3 years of project management experience in technology, software or space projects.
-
Experience delivering publicly funded projects, ideally ESA or EU (Horizon Europe).
-
Background in product management or software development; understanding of requirements, development cycles and agile methods.
-
Proficiency with planning methods and tools: WBS, Gantt, risk registers, Jira, MS Project or similar.
-
Degree in engineering, computer science, geoinformatics, physics or a related field.
-
Fluent English.

Personal attributes required (Soft skills):
-
Structured and reliable; runs several projects in parallel.
-
Communicates clearly with technical teams, customers and agency officers.
-
Proactive; raises risks early and proposes solutions.

Commercial mindset and confidence with customers.
-
Hands-on attitude in a startup environment.

Nice to Have
-
GIS experience (QGIS, ArcGIS) and work with satellite data (e.g. Sentinel, hyperspectral).

Knowledge of Earth observation, remote sensing or greenhouse gas monitoring.

Sales or account management experience.

Familiarity with ESA project standards (ECSS) and ESA-STAR.

Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA).

French or German.
