Senior Backend Engineer (Integrations)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Integrations) based in India. This is a remote engineering role focused on expanding and strengthening enterprise integration capabilities. You will design and build integrations connecting a core platform with a wide range of enterprise systems and tools. The role spans the full integration lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through production monitoring and support. You will collaborate closely with internal Product and Software teams as well as customer-side technical stakeholders. Your work will contribute directly to reliable, scalable solutions used across areas such as CRM, customer service, field service, and asset management. You will also help raise engineering standards through testing, code reviews, mentoring, and thoughtful technical design.

Contribute to the technical architecture and design of customer integrations, working directly with internal teams and external technical stakeholders. Design and implement integrated solutions tailored to specific customer use cases in collaboration with Product and Software teams. Build reusable connectors and integration packages for third-party systems, including web services hosted on AWS and custom solutions within partner ecosystems such as Salesforce. Own integrations throughout their lifecycle, from initial technical approach and implementation through deployment and ongoing production support. Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing production integrations, diagnosing failures and implementing reliable solutions. Develop integration services that connect enterprise tools across CRM, Customer Service, Field Service, Asset Management, Facilities Management, and related business areas. Contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing standards, technical guidance, and mentoring of other team members. Requirements 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building production systems with Python. Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs, with experience owning at least one third-party integration end to end. Strong automated testing practices, including unit and integration testing as a standard part of development. Hands-on experience with AWS, including compute services, message queues such as SQS, and managed databases. Strong understanding of designing distributed systems for availability, reliability, scalability, and performance. Ability to work directly with external technical stakeholders and translate ambiguous or complex requirements into practical technical designs. Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills. Experience with Salesforce or other partner ecosystems is a plus. Familiarity with multi-tenant connector frameworks, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, or B2B SaaS environments is an advantage. Benefits Full-time employment. Fully remote work setup.
