Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Dedicated Infrastructure & Platforms based in the United States. Lead a high-impact engineering organization responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable dedicated cloud infrastructure for enterprise and public sector customers. As Senior Director, Dedicated Infrastructure & Platforms, you will define the strategy and roadmap for a premium single-tenant SaaS platform serving customers with demanding security, compliance, and availability requirements. You will oversee distributed engineering teams responsible for platform orchestration, integrations, resilience, control plane capabilities, regulatory compliance, and enterprise customer migrations. Working closely with executive leadership, Product, Security, and Customer Support, you will align infrastructure investments with business growth, customer needs, and operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in expanding public sector capabilities, strengthening FedRAMP readiness, and simplifying enterprise onboarding through automation and self-service tools. This executive leadership opportunity combines technical depth, organizational development, and strategic decision-making in a remote-first, AI-enabled engineering environment. If you are passionate about building world-class cloud platforms and empowering high-performing teams, you will help shape the future of secure enterprise software delivery.

Define platform strategy and roadmap: Own the strategic direction and execution roadmap for dedicated infrastructure and platforms, ensuring the architecture scales with customer growth and aligns with cellular infrastructure principles. Drive business growth and customer outcomes: Partner with Product and executive leadership to achieve growth objectives by improving platform reliability, accelerating customer onboarding, optimizing infrastructure costs, and expanding self-service administration. Lead engineering execution: Oversee distributed engineering teams responsible for tenant orchestration, deployment automation, external integrations, platform resilience, incident response, control plane APIs, public sector infrastructure, and enterprise migration tooling. Ensure enterprise-grade reliability: Establish and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, automated failover, rate limiting, incident response automation, and service-level agreement (SLA) performance across dedicated customer environments. Advance public sector infrastructure: Lead the delivery and operational readiness of government-focused SaaS offerings, including AWS GovCloud infrastructure, FedRAMP compliance operations, audit readiness, air-gapped isolation, and geographic replication capabilities. Modernize enterprise migrations: Make customer transitions to dedicated infrastructure predictable, repeatable, and low-disruption by developing self-service migration tools, guided workflows, migration playbooks, and automated import capabilities. Build and develop engineering leadership: Recruit, coach, and scale engineering managers and technical teams across distributed locations, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration. Champion AI-enabled engineering: Integrate practical AI-powered workflows into engineering operations to improve productivity, reduce manual effort, accelerate delivery, and strengthen overall organizational efficiency. Align architecture and investment decisions: Collaborate with Product, Security, Customer Support, and executive stakeholders to align customer commitments, technical architecture, compliance obligations, and infrastructure investments. Drive operational and financial performance: Translate business targets into engineering priorities, workforce plans, and investment decisions while identifying opportunities to reduce operational overhead and improve platform economics. Requirements Senior engineering leadership: Demonstrated experience leading engineering organizations responsible for enterprise SaaS infrastructure, single-tenant or multi-tenant platforms, and large-scale cloud environments. Operational excellence: A proven track record of improving production reliability, reducing operational toil, optimizing infrastructure costs, or delivering measurable performance improvements across platforms under your leadership. Cloud-native architecture expertise: Deep understanding of cloud-native systems, cellular architectures, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), distributed systems, and modular services that can be deployed and scaled independently across cloud environments. Security and regulatory compliance: Experience delivering and operating enterprise technology offerings under stringent regulatory and security frameworks, particularly FedRAMP and AWS GovCloud requirements. Strategic and financial acumen: Ability to translate business objectives and financial targets into infrastructure investments, engineering roadmaps, headcount plans, and measurable execution priorities. Organizational transformation: Experience leading organizational change, improving engineering processes, and introducing AI-enabled workflows or other technologies that increase team productivity and operational efficiency. Leadership and people development: Strong ability to recruit, mentor, and develop engineering managers and technical talent, build effective distributed teams, and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning. Cross-functional collaboration: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical teams, executive leadership, and business partners around complex priorities and decisions. Customer-focused mindset: A strong commitment to delivering secure, reliable, high-performance platforms, balancing speed of execution with engineering quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Execution and decision-making: Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical initiatives, prioritize competing demands, resolve operational challenges, and deliver results in a fast-moving environment. Benefits Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from $279,000 to $349,000 USD for eligible U.S. locations. The final offer depends on geographic location, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity. This range excludes bonuses, equity, and benefits. Equity compensation: Access to an equity compensation program and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Flexible paid time off: Flexible leave policies designed to support work-life balance and personal well-being. Professional development: Access to a growth and development fund to support continuous learning, leadership development, and career progression. Parental leave: Leave benefits designed to support employees and their families. Inclusive employee community: Team Member Resource Groups that encourage connection, collaboration, and belonging. Remote-first work environment: Flexibility to work remotely from eligible locations, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, subject to location-specific hiring requirements. Executive-level impact: The opportunity to shape the strategy, architecture, and operational maturity of a mission-critical enterprise cloud platform. Innovation-driven culture: An environment that encourages continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and the practical adoption of AI to improve productivity and innovation.
