Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, Performance Marketing based in United States. This role owns the paid acquisition strategy end-to-end, with direct responsibility for channel mix, budgets, campaigns, creative strategy, and agency partnerships. You will manage an eight-figure annual media budget while optimizing performance against qualified-lead and cost-efficiency targets. The position combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution across major advertising platforms, particularly Google Ads and Meta. You will also rebuild an evolving acquisition program, bring new channels from zero to one, and establish measurement frameworks before scaling investment. Working within a small, high-ownership Growth team, you will influence major business decisions through rigorous analysis rather than team size. This is a fully remote U.S. opportunity with significant visibility and a direct connection between your decisions and business growth.

Own the paid media channel mix and in-month budget allocation across paid search, paid social, programmatic, direct mail, AI search surfaces, and emerging channels, including campaign structure, bidding, pacing, and performance optimization. Monitor qualified-lead delivery against targets and forecasts, diagnose performance drivers, and determine where additional investment is most likely to generate efficient volume. Own monthly spend and volume inputs for the marketing forecast and make informed adjustments when performance or delivery changes during the month. Manage Google Ads and Meta campaigns directly, including audience strategy across prospecting, retargeting, customer lists, lookalikes, and first-party data. Design, launch, and analyze structured experiments across audiences, creative, bidding, placements, geographies, and landing destinations. Launch and scale new acquisition channels such as Performance Max, connected TV, podcasts, and expanded direct mail programs, establishing measurement plans before significant investment. Develop paid creative strategy in partnership with creative teams and agencies, covering messaging, formats, testing frameworks, and performance analysis. Strengthen measurement and attribution capabilities, including improving visibility into incrementality and offline channels. Partner closely with analytics, product, and sales teams to optimize the full funnel from initial impression through qualified lead and signed agreement. Manage the transition of performance marketing responsibilities from an external agency to an in-house operating model. Requirements: 7+ years of experience in performance marketing or digital media buying, with hands-on ownership of paid search and paid social campaigns. Proven experience managing and scaling paid acquisition programs against CAC, CPA, cost-per-qualified-lead, or profitability targets with eight-figure annual media budgets. Deep expertise in Google Ads and/or Meta, including campaign structure, bidding, budget pacing, audience management, creative testing, and optimization. Experience developing strategy for external media agencies, managing execution quality, and successfully transitioning agency-owned work in-house. Strong forecasting experience, including ownership of monthly spend and volume planning and the ability to make informed decisions when performance changes mid-month. Strong analytical capabilities, including comfort working with SQL and product analytics tools and independently interpreting channel and funnel performance data. Experience developing or executing paid creative strategies covering messaging, formats, testing, and performance analysis in collaboration with creative teams or agencies. Strong strategic judgment and the ability to translate complex performance data into clear investment decisions and business recommendations. An AI-native approach to work, with practical experience using tools such as Claude for analysis, creative iteration, reporting, or other marketing workflows. Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor in a small, flat, high-ownership environment where influence, initiative, and evidence-based decision-making are essential. Benefits: Base salary of $160,000–$190,000 USD . Department variable annual bonus. Equity in the company. 401(k) with a 4% immediate vesting match. 16–18 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 10 weeks for non-birthing parents. Infertility coverage. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans. 100% employer-paid dental and vision coverage for individual plans. Low-cost medical plan option. 10 free mental health visits. Pet insurance. Generous paid time off, sick leave, holidays, and a personal holiday. RTO benefits for eligible full-time exempt employees. Annual travel credit after one year and discounts on stays at company properties. World-class onboarding, learning, and professional development resources.
