In this role, you will take ownership of critical systems spanning Windows and Linux servers, cloud platforms, virtualization, networking, storage, and endpoint management. You will play a key role in maintaining infrastructure reliability, strengthening security, and ensuring optimal system performance across the organization. From leading infrastructure upgrades and migrations to improving disaster recovery capabilities, your expertise will directly support operational continuity. You will also serve as a senior technical escalation point, helping teams resolve complex challenges efficiently. Monitor system availability, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they affect business operations. Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes, including regular testing and improvements. Oversee endpoint management activities, including patching, software deployment, device configuration, and system updates. Maintain identity and access management systems, implementing appropriate access controls and security practices. Apply infrastructure hardening standards, security controls, and relevant compliance requirements, including healthcare security considerations. Lead and contribute to infrastructure projects involving upgrades, migrations, deployments, and technology improvements. Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, standard operating procedures, and operational runbooks. Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support to helpdesk and IT operations teams, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements: At least 5 years of enterprise systems administration experience in a complex IT environment, with the ability to manage infrastructure independently. Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V. Practical experience administering cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure. Experience managing backup and disaster recovery solutions, including recovery testing and business continuity procedures. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues across multiple infrastructure layers. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to colleagues, leadership, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, service-oriented mindset, with a focus on infrastructure reliability, security, accountability, and thorough documentation. Preferred: Experience in healthcare IT and familiarity with HIPAA security requirements. Preferred: Linux server administration experience. Preferred: Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent expertise. Preferred: VMware certification, such as VCP, or equivalent experience. Preferred: Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Microsoft Intune, or Jamf.
