Work with agents to establish and execute business development strategies, address performance challenges, and capitalize on opportunities for growth. Assess agency strengths and areas for improvement, helping partners understand and adopt relevant products, initiatives, policies, procedures, and services. Serve as a key liaison between agency partners and internal teams, maintaining effective communication and collaboration with regional underwriting, claims, and corporate departments. Deliver clear, timely communication and high-quality service through digital channels and other appropriate methods. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging products, competitive carrier practices, and market developments that may affect underwriting performance or business opportunities. Support broader regional business needs as required, including book-roll opportunities, training, and underwriting coverage for small-business or larger commercial accounts. Assist agency management teams with overflow work and other operational priorities when needed. Carry out all underwriting and business development responsibilities in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements. Travel by car to assigned agency partners when necessary, with travel estimated at approximately 5% of working time. Requirements At least six years of experience in underwriting, insurance marketing, or field underwriting. A college degree is preferred. Three or more years of agency management experience is preferred. Highly developed marketing and business development skills, with a commercially focused and hands-on approach.
