This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Account Manager - Account Acquisition (Central) based in the United States. This is a strategic individual contributor role focused on driving new business and expanding adoption across regional integrated delivery networks (IDNs), academic medical centers, and large health systems. You’ll build executive-level relationships and navigate complex healthcare organizations to secure system-wide adoption and long-term customer partnerships. The role combines consultative selling, strategic account development, stakeholder management, and a strong understanding of acute care environments. You’ll lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through contracting while partnering closely with Territory Managers and cross-functional teams. You’ll tailor solutions to customer workflows, financial priorities, and patient care objectives while supporting successful implementation and adoption. The position offers significant visibility within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and requires strong commercial judgment, analytical thinking, and executive communication skills. Success will be measured through pipeline development, forecast accuracy, new account acquisition, customer adoption, and sustainable revenue growth.
Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships across regional IDNs and health systems, engaging clinical, administrative, supply chain, and other key stakeholders. Lead the full sales process from prospecting and opportunity development through contracting, navigating complex organizational structures and multi-level decision-making processes. Develop account strategies based on each customer’s operational workflows, financial objectives, clinical priorities, and broader organizational needs. Partner with Territory Managers and internal teams across Clinical, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, Market Access, and other functions to align strategy, messaging, and execution. Support new customer onboarding by collaborating with clinical and implementation teams to promote smooth integration, effective workflow adoption, and sustained utilization. Maintain accurate visibility into territory pipeline, forecasts, account performance, and sales activity through Salesforce and related analytics tools. Represent the organization at industry events, clinical conferences, strategic business meetings, and other relevant customer-facing opportunities while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree or clinical background is preferred. At least 7 years of successful experience in medical device or capital equipment sales, with a strong track record of selling into large hospital systems or IDNs. 5+ years of experience selling within acute care environments, particularly ICU and/or emergency department settings, is strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage long, consultative sales cycles and influence complex, multi-stakeholder purchasing decisions, including engagement with C-suite executives. Strong understanding of healthcare systems, hospital purchasing processes, and reimbursement dynamics. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and executive engagement skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate customer and market insights into actionable account plans. Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment. Must reside within the assigned region and be willing to travel up to 60%.
