Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Events Manager Contractor based in United States. This contract role supports a busy Field and Events Marketing team during a high-volume event season and a period of team coverage. You will lead the planning and execution of large-scale, company-hosted events from initial strategy through onsite delivery. The role also includes managing tradeshow sponsorships and supporting smaller customer and networking events. You’ll coordinate timelines, budgets, vendors, logistics, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver seamless experiences. This is an opportunity for an experienced events professional to step into a fast-paced environment and make an immediate impact. The contract runs through April 30, 2027, at 30–40 hours per week.

Serve as project manager for large-scale, company-hosted events, owning planning, coordination, and hands-on execution from start to finish. Manage event timelines, budgets, vendors, and deliverables while keeping cross-functional stakeholders aligned. Oversee event logistics including venues, hotels, audiovisual services, catering, registration, and attendee experiences. Act as the onsite lead during events, ensuring smooth execution and quickly resolving operational issues as they arise. Plan and execute small- and medium-sized tradeshow sponsorships at industry conferences, including contracting, vendors, budgets, and logistics. Partner with Sales and other internal teams attending events to coordinate needs and ensure strong event execution. Support additional events as needed, including lunch-and-learns, VIP happy hours and dinners, and networking events. Requirements: 5+ years of professional event planning experience, with demonstrated ability to plan and execute full conferences end to end. Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-day conferences or customer-facing events. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple timelines, budgets, vendors, and priorities simultaneously. Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and keeping stakeholders aligned throughout complex projects. Comfortable with limited travel of up to 10% and onsite event management responsibilities. Highly self-motivated and able to ramp up quickly, self-onboard, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in the Atlanta area and availability to work from an Alpharetta or Glencastle office one to two times per week is a plus. Benefits: Contract engagement running as soon as possible through April 30, 2027. 30–40 hours per week. Flexible remote work options, with Atlanta-area candidates able to work from an office one to two times per week. Energetic and collaborative work environment where employees’ perspectives and ideas are valued. Opportunities for personal and professional growth. Work focused on software that helps K-12 schools operate more efficiently and improve the classroom experience. Strong emphasis on work/life balance. Full-time employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off; eligibility may vary for contractors. Competitive compensation based on experience.
