Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Services Consultant based in Spain. As a Technical Services Consultant, you will support aircraft transition and redelivery projects, ensuring aircraft meet contractual, technical, and airworthiness requirements. You will play a key role in reviewing maintenance records, assessing aircraft conditions, and identifying discrepancies that could affect lease agreements or operational readiness. Working with aircraft owners, lessors, operators, and maintenance organizations, you will provide technical expertise throughout critical stages of the aircraft lifecycle. You will also conduct physical inspections and monitor maintenance activities to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and agreed standards. This opportunity offers exposure to international aviation projects across Europe, Asia, and the United States, with the flexibility and independence of a consulting engagement. Your technical judgment and attention to detail will help facilitate smooth aircraft transitions while protecting client interests and maintaining high standards of aviation safety.

Conduct comprehensive reviews of aircraft maintenance documentation, including LDND (List of Deferred and Non-Deferred Defects), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), modifications (MODs), Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), hard-time components (HT), operational and continuing compliance records (OCC), Life-Limited Parts (LLPs), and damage and repair documentation. Assess aircraft technical conditions and maintenance records to verify compliance with lease agreement requirements, continuing airworthiness standards, and contractual redelivery conditions. Identify discrepancies, missing documentation, outstanding maintenance actions, and technical issues that could affect aircraft redelivery or lease compliance. Communicate review findings, technical observations, and recommended corrective actions clearly to clients, aircraft operators, lessors, and other relevant stakeholders. Conduct pre-purchase and mid-lease physical aircraft inspections to assess technical condition, maintenance status, and compliance with applicable requirements. Represent aircraft owners and lessors as the primary technical point of contact at Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities during ongoing maintenance activities. Monitor maintenance progress, follow up on outstanding technical issues, and coordinate with maintenance teams to support timely project completion. Contribute to aircraft redelivery planning and execution, helping ensure that all technical, documentation, and contractual requirements are addressed before handover. Travel internationally as required to support aircraft inspections, maintenance oversight, and redelivery projects across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. At least five years of professional experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management Organizations (CAMO), line maintenance, or base maintenance, with practical exposure to continuing airworthiness requirements and maintenance planning. Strong technical knowledge of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft families, including their maintenance requirements and technical documentation. Experience reviewing aircraft maintenance records, assessing airworthiness status, and evaluating compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance processes, technical records, defect management, and aircraft lifecycle requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify technical discrepancies, evaluate risks, and recommend appropriate solutions. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with aircraft owners, lessors, operators, MRO providers, and other internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for technical documentation, reporting, and project coordination. Willingness and availability to travel internationally to support inspections and aircraft transition projects. Experience with aircraft maintenance information systems such as AMOS, OASES, or GANNET is an advantage. Previous involvement in aircraft redelivery projects is highly desirable. A proactive, independent, and detail-oriented working style, with the ability to manage technical assignments and coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders. Benefits: International project exposure: Opportunities to contribute to aircraft redelivery, pre-purchase, and mid-lease inspection projects across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Independent consulting engagement: The opportunity to work as an independent contractor, offering flexibility in how technical assignments are approached and managed. Specialized aviation experience: Hands-on involvement in aircraft maintenance records, airworthiness compliance, lease requirements, and technical transition activities. Industry collaboration: Direct interaction with aircraft owners, lessors, operators, MRO facilities, and aviation professionals across international markets. Professional development: Opportunities to deepen technical expertise in aircraft maintenance, continuing airworthiness, and aircraft lifecycle management. Meaningful responsibility: The opportunity to influence aircraft redelivery outcomes, protect client interests, and support compliance with technical and contractual standards. Varied technical challenges: Exposure to different aircraft conditions, maintenance environments, and complex documentation review requirements.
