Full job description

The role is on site in N'Djamena and open to external candidates. Duties on the official vacancy include driving personnel and visitors in accordance with UN security standards and national traffic rules, airport support, delivery of official mail and project goods, daily vehicle checks and logbooks, minor technical repairs, maintaining vehicle documents, preparing the vehicle for missions, and reporting incidents. The vacancy is within UNESCO's Administration and Management sector.

Requirements & qualifications

UNESCO lists a primary-school completion certificate, valid category A, B and D driving licences, at least five years of experience, an impeccable driving record, knowledge of local driving rules and conditions, ability to perform minor repairs, punctuality and reliability. Excellent knowledge of French and/or English is required. Previous experience in the United Nations system is listed as an asset.
