Current full-time University of Twente students can apply for a €2,500 NL Scholarship for eligible Spring 2027 study, internship or graduation mobility outside the European Economic Area.

The NL Scholarship provides a fixed €2,500 contribution paid before the mobility starts. Eligible activities in University of Twente academic year 2026–2027 include study, internship or graduation assignments outside the EEA lasting 7–52 weeks and earning at least 10 ECTS. The scholarship cannot be combined with other University of Twente outgoing scholarships such as Erasmus+ or the Twente Mobility Fund.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be full-time University of Twente students, remain enrolled during the mobility, use the mobility as part of their UT degree, go outside the EEA and not to their home country, complete 7–52 weeks with at least 10 ECTS, meet programme prerequisites and safety requirements, and must not have received an NL/Holland Scholarship before for their UT degree or outgoing mobility.

Verification notes
Verified on the current University of Twente scholarship page and the live Spring 2027 application form. The direct form states that it opens 1 July 2026 at 12:00 CET and closes 1 December 2026 at 23:59 CET. The scholarship overview labels that closing time CEST, but 1 December is CET and the direct applicant form explicitly says CET; therefore the deadline is stored as 22:59 UTC.
