Overview
URACCAN maintains multiple scholarship routes for undergraduate and degree students, prioritising Indigenous, Afro-descendant and mestizo youth from Nicaragua's Caribbean Coast. The standing programme includes excellence, internal, academic, UNICAM, food, transport and student-leadership scholarships.
Complete scholarship details
The university's live scholarship page lists excellence awards (including academic, research, innovation/entrepreneurship, cultural and sports routes), full/special/lodging internal scholarships, external academic scholarship levels A–D, UNICAM scholarships, food support, transport support and student-leadership scholarships. Application and renewal requirements differ by category and are handled through the relevant Area of Knowledge or Regional University Centre (CUR). The official page provides online or in-person application instructions for several routes but does not state one universal application deadline.
Eligibility requirements
The programme is for URACCAN undergraduate and degree students and prioritises young people from Indigenous, Afro-descendant and mestizo communities on Nicaragua's Caribbean Coast. Requirements vary by scholarship type. For example, a new applicant for a full internal scholarship submits the scholarship form, a request letter, current-semester enrolment evidence, Nicaraguan identity documentation, student identification, a current conduct certificate unless under 16, and a current MINSA health certificate. Returning full-internal recipients also need academic history and at least an 80% or 4-point average under the competency curriculum.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against URACCAN's live scholarship-program page. The page currently lists the programme, scholarship categories and detailed application/renewal requirements. It does not publish a single universal closing date, so deadline fields are left null rather than inferred; applicants must follow the applicable Area/CUR process.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
