International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) Opportunities

Doctoral projects must fall within ICGEB Cape Town research areas including infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, bioinformatics, plant systems biology or virology. Fellows receive training, mentoring and access to ICGEB's international research environment, with mobility support for research at the Trieste or New Delhi components.

Female applicants who are South African citizens or South African permanent residents with a valid South African ID may apply. Preference is given to Black and disabled applicants. A mandatory endorsement from an ICGEB Cape Town Group Leader is required, and candidates must provide proof of an MSc degree before the fellowship begins.
