Responsibilities & complete job details

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Project Engineer based in Canada. This role offers the opportunity to lead engineering activities for large-scale battery energy storage projects across North America. You will oversee technical execution from design development through construction and commissioning, serving as a key engineering point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Working within cross-functional project teams, you will coordinate electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, controls, and balance-of-plant requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineering consultants, suppliers, EPC contractors, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality project delivery. The position combines technical ownership, design review, vendor management, site verification, and hands-on problem solving in a rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. Strong engineering judgment will be essential as you identify technical risks, resolve complex issues, and ensure projects meet applicable codes, standards, and performance requirements. With meaningful ownership and up to 25% travel, this is an opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of critical energy infrastructure across Canada and the United States.
