Applications are accepted from 1–20 September 2026 through the Studētgods e-service on Latvia.gov.lv. The scholarship is EUR 180 per month. Applicants must be full-time in-person students in Latvia pursuing their first higher-education qualification and must meet at least one listed social criterion. The ministry also publishes academic-performance and income conditions; applicants should review the current rules before submitting.

Full-time in-person students at Latvian higher-education institutions aged 25 or younger who are obtaining their first higher-education qualification and satisfy the current social, academic and income criteria. Eligible social groups include students from qualifying large families, student parents with three or more children, orphans/young people without parental care, students with Group I or II disability, and students from households with poor or low-income status.
