University of Central Asia — Afghanistan Research Initiative Opportunities

The fellowship supports an approved research project and requires a peer-reviewed article, three thematic roundtables, knowledge briefs, engagement in ARI dissemination activities, and progress reporting across the 18-month award period. Funding is disbursed against agreed milestones and satisfactory progress.

Applicants must hold a relevant PhD, be affiliated with or formally associated with a recognized university or established research institution, propose original research aligned with ARI themes, show capacity to complete the work, and have sufficient English proficiency. All nationalities may apply, but the principal investigator must be based outside Afghanistan for the fellowship duration.
