University of Graz / Land Steiermark Opportunities

The current Go Styria call is for summer semester 2027 only, with mobility beginning no earlier than 1 February 2027 and ending no later than 31 August 2027. Eligible countries listed by the University of Graz are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. Master's and doctoral scholarships support research mobility periods of one or two months. The University of Graz states a final application deadline of 12 October 2026 at 1:00 p.m.; because the official page does not label the timezone beside that deadline, this record stores only the calendar date. Master's and doctoral applicants must provide the information needed for access to the online application tool by 7 October 2026.

Master's and doctoral applicants must be students at a university in one of the listed South-Eastern European countries and remain registered there in the next academic year. Postdoctoral applicants must hold an academic position at a university in the eligible region, have completed a doctorate with very good results before the scholarship begins, and normally have completed the doctorate no more than three years before application. The planned postdoctoral research project should be agreed with a potential University of Graz supervisor, and a postdoctoral stay cannot be funded if the doctorate was completed at the University of Graz.
