Position summary:

The Ideation Center is the think tank arm of Strategy& that focuses on thought leadership and growth of a number of distinct functional capabilities, such as behavioral economics, evidence generation, foresight, innovation as a service, and advanced data analytics.

We are looking for a Data Science and AI Manager to lead the Advanced Data Analytics vertical at the Ideation Center. This client-facing role focuses on delivering cutting-edge analytics and AI solutions to unlock insights from complex data sets. You will lead project teams, leveraging advanced machine learning models, to drive innovation and strategic decision-making for clients and advance the positioning of the vertical within the firm. Your leadership will ensure that data analytics becomes a powerful driver for transformation across various sectors.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Machine Learning Implementation: Leverage advanced analytics tools and machine learning models to extract insights from large, complex datasets. Use these insights to inform client strategies and solve high-impact challenges. • AI, Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning Solutions: Lead the development and deployment of AI, predictive analytics and machine learning models, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with client goals. • Simulation Modelling: Deploy tools such as geospatial analytics, network analysis, and agent-based modelling to understand and simulate complex systems and relationships. • Natural Language Processing and Sentiment analysis: Use Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools and sentiment analysis to understand market trends and opinions from textual data such as social media and qualitative feedback. • Data Visualization and Reporting: Create dynamic visualization tools and dashboards to present actionable insights to clients, enabling them to make data-driven decisions. • Lead Client-Focused Analytics Projects: Manage and deliver client projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that data analytics solutions meet client objectives and drive measurable outcomes. • Strategic Consulting: Collaborate with clients and senior leadership to design and implement advanced analytics strategies that unlock value from data and drive business transformation. • Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Serve as the key point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of analytics projects. • Business Development: Support business development efforts by identifying client needs, contributing to proposals, and expanding the analytics portfolio. • Thought Leadership Pieces: Lead the creation of thought leadership content, using original research and advanced analytics to generate insights that shape industry trends and inform strategic decision-making for clients. • Cross-Vertical Innovation and Collaboration: Collaborate with other verticals to drive cross-disciplinary innovation, integrating diverse expertise to develop new products and solutions that create additional value for clients.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

Qualifications: • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, and AI; 3+ years in consulting or client-facing leadership role is desirable but not essential • Expertise in analyzing large datasets using Python, R, SQL, and tools like TensorFlow, Power BI, Tableau • Strong understanding of data architecture, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), and data warehousing • Proven ability to manage client relationships, lead analytics projects, and deliver data-driven insights that create measurable impact • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear, actionable manner for clients and stakeholders
