Mō te tūnga | About the roleOur Operations Advisers are part of a team who are responsible for providing electronic monitoring services 24/7 to 6,000 defendants and offenders in New Zealand, using contact centre platforms and GPS technology.The environment is fast paced, and energetic and our tight-knit teams are busy, focused and committed to keeping the community safe. Please note: This role is shift work and our teams are required to work 24/7. You will be on a rotating roster - please refer to the attached Job Description, which includes an example of what your roster could look like. To be successful in this role you will have:Experience communicating over the phone/email with people from different backgroundsGreat critical thinking, and problem solving with sound judgementStrong computer literacy skills and the ability to multi-taskResilience when dealing with challenging situationsOpenness to change, with a ‘can do' attitudeHigh integrity and professionalismAn ability to work from home if/when required for business continuity purposes Ngā painga | The benefitsThe midpoint of the salary range is $75,762 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $69,205 - $81,098 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role. Those new to the role will begin on the starting salary of $69,205.In addition to your salary, you will receive a shift allowance of $2,000 per annumYou will receive a paid 30-minute lunch break, where in other organisations your lunch breaks are unpaidYou could have better work-life balance! Each week your total working hours can differ; ranging from 28.5 to 47.5-hours, however, you will always be paid for 40-hours (see the roster attached to this advert)You will get 4-weeks annual leave entitlement and 5-weeks after a year's employmentDue to the shift work aspect of this role, you end up with approximately 160 days off a year - where other organisations offer 104-days off a yearYou will receive an extensive 6-weeks upfront multi-media training, which includes live work simulations, reflection sessions, knowledge assessments, and an opportunity to do live work whilst being supportedYou can expect a sense of satisfaction that comes from making an important contribution towards managing the people in our care and keeping our community safe.
