Overview
The Insurance Association of the Caribbean is offering its 2026 annual scholarship to eligible Caribbean UWI students pursuing insurance, actuarial science, risk management or an insurance career.
Complete scholarship details
The scholarship provides US$2,000 toward tuition fees plus a six-week summer internship at an IAC member company. The official IAC page lists a 31 August 2026 application deadline. UWI St. Augustine also labels the 2026 scholarship OPEN and directs applicants to submit by email. The official sources do not state a closing clock time, so no machine deadline is invented.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Caribbean nationals and graduate or undergraduate students at one of the three University of the West Indies campuses, be in good academic standing, and major in insurance, risk management or actuarial science or demonstrate an interest in pursuing an insurance-related career. The application requires the scholarship form, current transcript information, a 750–1,000 word essay on motivation and career objectives, and a recommendation letter.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the Insurance Association of the Caribbean's current Annual Insurance Scholarship page and UWI St. Augustine's current scholarship listing. Both confirm the 31 August 2026 deadline; IAC confirms US$2,000 toward tuition plus a six-week internship and the Caribbean-national/UWI/field requirements. No closing time is published.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
