As we undertake a significant Technology Modernisation Programme, we're looking for an exceptional Principal Advisor - Privacy and Risk (Technology Modernisation) to ensure privacy, risk management, and good governance are embedded at through every stage of transformational change. This is a unique opportunity to apply specialist privacy and risk expertise within a large-scale enterprise transformation. Working alongside senior leaders, programme teams, delivery partners and stakeholders you will influence the design and implementation of modern technology solutions, ensuring privacy and risk considerations are integrated from the outset to protect the information and interests of our customers, tenants, employees, and partners.As the trusted privacy and risk advisor to the Technology Modernisation Programme, you will: • Lead privacy strategy and advice across major technology and business transformation initiatives. • Drive Privacy Impact Assessments, privacy controls, and programme readiness activities. • Embed Privacy by Design principles into systems, processes, data flows, and operating models. • Provide expert guidance on enterprise risk, governance, and assurance practices. • Influence senior leaders and governance forums on complex privacy and risk matters. • Strengthen organisational privacy capability through frameworks, tools, and training initiatives. Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bringWe're looking for a highly credible advisor who can confidently operate in complex and evolving environments. You'll have: • Significant experience providing strategic privacy advice within large-scale technology, data, risk, or transformation programmes. • Expert knowledge of the Privacy Act 2020, privacy risk management, and information governance. • Experience leading or reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments and managing privacy implications of significant change initiatives. • Strong understanding of enterprise risk management, governance, and assurance frameworks. • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and build trusted stakeholder relationships. • Outstanding communication skills and experience preparing executive-level advice and reporting.
