In this position, you will work across charge entry, coding verification, insurance claim processing, and payment posting to support accurate and timely reimbursement. Research payer-specific billing guidelines, bundling rules, frequency limitations, clinical editing requirements, and other claim submission policies to ensure compliance. Validate claims against insurance requirements, including applicable pre-authorization and supporting documentation requirements. Submit charges and claims accurately and within established timelines, monitor submission statuses, and coordinate resubmissions when necessary. Identify, investigate, and escalate coding errors, documentation gaps, and other claim-related issues before submission. Maintain organized and complete documentation of charge entry, claim submissions, corrections, and related follow-up activities. Post insurance payments, adjustments, and denials from Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and lockbox files into customer practice management systems and internal platforms. Reconcile daily payment batches against bank deposits, investigate missing or mismatched remittance records, and ensure posting accuracy. Identify underpayments, payment discrepancies, and denials, escalating issues for appropriate follow-up and resolution. Resolve unapplied cash, credit balances, refunds, recoupments, and balance transfer issues in accordance with established procedures. Maintain accurate financial and billing records while ensuring that all charge posting and payment posting activities are properly documented. Collaborate with internal teams and healthcare customers to resolve billing discrepancies, improve claim accuracy, and maintain efficient revenue cycle operations. Adapt to evolving workflows, customer needs, and operational priorities while contributing to the improvement of AI-supported billing and revenue recovery processes. Requirements: Have at least 2 years of professional experience in medical billing, charge entry, payment posting, revenue cycle management (RCM), or coding verification. Possess a strong working knowledge of medical coding, charge capture, claim preparation, and insurance billing procedures. Demonstrate experience entering and reviewing charges, validating claims, identifying coding discrepancies, and ensuring accurate submissions to insurance payers. Understand insurance claim submission requirements, payer-specific billing rules, medical necessity criteria, and pre-authorization processes. Be familiar with clinical documentation review, medical coding modifiers, bundling rules, frequency limitations, and clinical editing requirements. Have hands-on experience with leading practice management systems, such as eClinicalWorks (eCW), ModMed, Athenahealth, or comparable healthcare billing platforms. Understand payment posting workflows, including processing ERAs and EOBs, reconciling payment batches, investigating discrepancies, and identifying underpayments or denials. Be capable of resolving unapplied cash, credit balances, refunds, recoupments, and other payment reconciliation issues accurately. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability when handling billing information, financial records, and supporting documentation. Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to identify claim errors, investigate discrepancies, and determine appropriate corrective actions. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and customers, escalating issues promptly and providing accurate updates. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where workflows, customer requirements, and priorities may evolve. Demonstrate ownership, accountability, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools and processes. Be available to work US business hours, specifically 9:00 AM–6:00 PM US Eastern Time , to support collaboration with customers and distributed team members.
