SMX is looking for a candidate to support our customer at Webster Field. This position supports a rapid integration facility (SCRIF). The candidate will be responsible for building cables for multiple aircraft platforms. The candidate will be integrating equipment racks with the latest technologies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Read assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and cable run sheets. Build different types of cable assemblies, from standard RF and data cables to complex multipin and fiber cables. Integrate networking, SATCOM, RF, and power equipment into stationary, vehicular, and case based racks while following instructions. Run and dress cables and wires in equipment racks. Solder connector pins and wires to build cable assemblies. Required Skills & Experience   Clearance Required: Secret 2-4 years of related experience Ability to perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, following standard work methods on recurring assignments Able to Read assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and cable run sheets Able to Build different types of cable assemblies, from standard RF and data cables to complex multipin and fiber cables  Willing to travel up to 75% each year  Strong communication skills  Able to work effectively as part of a team  Attention to detail  Time management skills Current Solder certification or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire Desired Skills & Experience   Experience with Equipment rack integration Experience with cable and wire dressing in equipment racks Experience with assembling metal work assemblies Experience with soldering connector pins and wires to build cable assemblies #cjpost #LI-ONSITE   The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
