This role provides analytical and business systems support within a healthcare-focused environment. You will work closely with business partners, technology teams, and subject matter experts to understand complex processes and define future-state solutions. The position plays an important role in identifying opportunities for process and application improvements. You will lead requirements activities, facilitate JAD sessions, and contribute to project planning, testing, and migration initiatives. The role combines independent analysis with cross-functional collaboration across delivery, development, testing, and operations teams. Your work will help improve business applications, streamline processes, and support successful adoption of new or enhanced platforms. Conduct business and systems analysis to understand, define, and document current-state processes, customer requirements, and future-state objectives. Lead healthcare payer JAD sessions using both waterfall and agile methodologies, ensuring requirements are clearly captured, managed, and communicated. Analyze complex systems, processes, information, and data to identify business needs, improvement opportunities, and potential solutions. Develop project documentation, including business requirements, risks and issues, mitigation strategies, change management materials, business readiness plans, communication plans, and policies and procedures. Facilitate formal and informal meetings with subject matter experts, business partners, and stakeholders, documenting discussions, decisions, and specific action items. Develop decision frameworks that identify key stakeholders, alternatives, trade-offs, and relevant discussions to support informed business decisions. Act as an intermediary between business units, technology teams, and support functions to ensure alignment throughout project activities. Define the scope of activities required to resolve issues, including requirements definition, process reviews, impact assessments, and operational improvements. Collaborate with IT delivery and technical leads, application developers, testers, and operations teams to support project objectives and production applications. Review and understand technical designs and specifications, document functionality and stakeholder impacts, and coordinate migration activities toward future-state solutions. Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including requirements validation and issue resolution. Develop and distribute communication materials that support adoption of application and process enhancements. Requirements: Approximately 5 years of experience leading healthcare payer JAD sessions using waterfall and agile methodologies, managing requirements, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders. Approximately 5 years of experience performing high-level systems analysis based on defined business and technical requirements. Approximately 5 years of experience analyzing and documenting information and data needed to achieve business objectives. Previous experience working as a Business Analyst within the healthcare payer industry. Strong ability to research, analyze, and translate complex systems and business processes into clear documentation and actionable requirements. Experience creating business requirements, risk and issue documentation, change management materials, business readiness plans, communication plans, and policy and procedure documentation. Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both large groups and individual subject matter experts. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively across business and technical audiences. Understanding of technical designs, system specifications, application functionality, and business process impacts. Experience coordinating migration procedures and supporting the transition toward future-state processes and platforms. Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently within established guidelines. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
